All You Knit is Love, especially when you’re crafting with the super soft cashmere and fine merino wool blend that is Murmur. This special-edition colorway has been created only for our Cræft | Travel SPAIN book release, and is inspired by Gaudi’s mosaic tilework at the colorful Park Güell.
Fingering Weight. Each skein is 437 yards / 100 g and Fingering Weight. This is a truly luxurious yarn (75% Merino Wool, 25% Cashmere) that promises to become beautiful accessories, sweaters, or even socks.
Hand-dyed and spun in Spain. All You Knit is Love has this yarn spun for them at a local mill in Spain.
Custom color for Cræft! Gaudi will only be available for a limited time through us.
One of a Kind Skeins. Each skein is different and I recommend alternating in larger projects, although I will do my best to hand-match skeins for your success.
Wooldreamers’ Cautiva is an earnest little yarn ready for anything. Representing the return of Merino wool to Spain and the revival and support of the industry, Cautiva is ready to become your new favorite choice for accessories, sweaters and more. I love this yarn for Cræft because it checks all the boxes for me:
Versatile weight / yardage. Each ball is 186 yards / 50 g and Sport Weight. This yarn could easily be a great stand in for a fingering weight or a slightly tighter DK gauge. The woolen, 2-ply structure allows for quite a bit of poof on washing.
Domestically produced in Spain. I love a yarn that hasn’t traveled the globe before visiting me, and I know you do too. The wool is all sourced in Spain, dyeing and processing is done in Spain, and spinning is done in Spain.
Fair Trade. Spain’s Fair Trade certification validates ethical sourcing, fair wages and sustainability. Only 195 brands are certified in Spain.
Beautiful color palette. I haven’t brought in every color of Cautiva, but I think you’ll enjoy the mix of solids and heathered tones throughout.
Named for the story of Doña Elena, a young woman held captive (cautiva) in a high tower in nearby Mota. She survived the war and her captivity and was freed from the tower, claiming to have survived only on condensation and food brought by ravens (cuervo). In honor of the incredible birds that saved her, the town was renamed Mota del Cuervo, where one of Wooldreamer’s mills has operated for over 200 years.
